Bo, Corporate Biscuit Mogul

YES! there really is a Bo. He’s a (hunky) handsome male Hungarian Vizsla and the inspiration for Bo’s Bones. He is at home with his dad Jazz and friends Aidesh (who writes her own column titled, “Aidesh Speaks”), and his people. His wonderful mom Lady Margaret died earlier this year and we will always miss her.

Bo enjoys meeting his fans, loves a good splash in the river, is exceptionally fond of his biscuits, loves to hunt (almost anything that moves) and thoroughly enjoys going for rides. He’s a complete ham in front of a camera, and Jazz is even worse! His dad gets all goofy when we try to take pictures of him. Aidesh just moves too fast for our cameras — but you’ll see a few pictures of her (sorry for the blur!)

Bo is featured on many of our pages — he’s the largest Vizsla in any of them. His dad is leaner and a little smaller. His buddy Ruff, who lives in Arizona, is the handsome (and cute!) wire-haired Hungarian Vizsla whose photos are also featured.

Vizslas are the national hunting dog of Hungary and have been the pride of the country for hundreds of years. Their tradition is one of a versatile hunting dog, companion, and guard dog.

Watch for coming articles by journalist Michael Brandt about the Hungarian Vizsla, an interview with the owner/breeder of Pine Tree Kennels (home to Hungarian Vizslas and other fine gun dogs), articles on hunting, and excerpts from his famous Billy Bob Pinder humor series. You won’t want to miss a single one!
