WHY a pretzel shape? Why not? Dogs love having a biscuit with a big hole in it — our Hole-y Donuts have been favorite puppy treats for years. These offer a heftier chew for teething puppies (saving how many slippers??) and give every dog a new toy as well as a great treat. (One friend wrote telling us he watched a PowerBone fly into the air behind the couch several times before the crunching began … we want a video!)
These are hefty-ish biscuits, weighing in at 1.5 oz. each and are about 4″ tall. Our Classic dough recipe is rolled and coiled by hand, and since we’re expert biscuit makers but not (yet) expert pretzel makers, the first few hundred are just not all going to be exactly alike. Who cares!
